65 & Over/High Risk Are Next for COVID Vaccine at OHC

RAPID CITY –The Oyate Health Center has moved to its next stage of vaccinations that includes those who are 65 & over, those who are high risk, and essential workers. Those who meet these criteria can sign up for an appointment or add their name to a list showing they want to receive the vaccine. 

The Oyate Health Center is currently in Phase 1C. To add your name to the waiting list for the vaccine, click here.

We encourage all who are 65 years and older to sign up on our COVID-19 Vaccine Waiting List . Additionally, anyone who is a fluent Lakota language speaker, a healthcare worker, and those with high-risk conditions to add their name to the list.

OHC is still receiving only limited supplies of the vaccine. We are working to ensure that vaccines are distributed to the community as soon as possible.  

Critical Workers: First Responders (Firefighters, EMS, Police), Education (teachers, support staff, daycare employees), Food & Agriculture, Manufacturing, Corrections workers, U.S. Postal Service workers, Public Transit workers, Grocery Store workers

Essential Workers: Transportation & Logistics, Food Service, Shelter & Housing (construction), Finance, IT & Communication, Energy, Media, Legal, Public Safety (Engineers), Water & Wastewater

*At this time, Oyate Health Center can only provide vaccines to Indian Health Service eligible individuals. You will need a current OHC chart to receive a vaccine. Please contact us to update your information.
