Calling all Beaders, Quilters, Painters… Artwork Needed for new Oyate Health Center

RAPID CITY — In early November, the Great Plains Tribal Leaders’ Health Board and the Oyate Health Center submitted proposals for artwork to be displayed in the new facility. The deadline for one of these proposals has been extended to midnight on January 9, 2023.

Across the new Oyate Health Center (set to open in February of 2023), there are more than 60 locations where the artwork will be placed inside the new building. The Oyate Health Center requests that artists interested in contributing art submit proposals to fill these voids. Artists will be compensated for their contributions, and all art forms will be considered once submitted.

The process may seem overwhelming for artists who have not formally submitted before, but everyone is encouraged to help adorn this historic new facility.
